It is so hot in New York. My right arm was in the sun so long that it bubbled up and peeled. Eww. Maybe I shared to much. The Flea Market Pop up store was a little slow today at Danny Screams at 220 Leonard Street in Brooklyn nonetheless I still had fun. Summer in NY is awesome though. I feel like listening to dance music with this weather for some reason
I met cool artists like Wilfred who owns Art is vast-/www.artisvast.etsy.com
He makes amazing stuff like this
He also hand paints coffee mugs and makes an array of interesting things.
And I met Andy who makes the best cast iron and silver jewelry Ive ever seen!
For the past couple of days its been super hot in NYC. It’s about 90 degrees today. I can’t complain though because when its cold here its FREEZING!!
I’ve been scouring different places to find you guys some of the coolest vintage, bags, jewelry
and thrift around. My favorite items are the chain headbands, these gorgeous rings that look like a mask. Everywhere I go someone asked me where I got it. A girl in the Subway offered to buy it right of my finger! Theres a fabulous super tight vintage Betsey Johnson yellow dress and lots of lacy girlie things. Everythings affordable!
This Sunday, June 24, I’ll be selling all the goods at
DANNY SCREAMS POP UP STORE in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
I have some gorgeous chain headbands in stock for less than $20!
So as always I have to keep up with my Etsy site. I handcraft and sell silk headbands with embellishments. After I updated the LILAJULIET site I started looking around for jackets. I totally fell in love with this one from Joules Vintage. I can’t get enough of her ETSY store. She has vintage everything!
Joules Vintage $45
I love the fit on this jacket. Check out the awesome slimming effect on the waistline. Imagine the possibilities. If your daring you can wear with just black tights and heels.
Lately I’ve been feeling extremely homesick. All I can think about is going to New York and visiting all my best friends. I miss popping into my friend Dahlias home at the Chelsea Hotel and my sewing with my friend Jennifer in College Point Queens. But I really wanted to write this post because I wanted to share my super affordable shopping secrets if you live or happen to be in NYC. If you dont have Upper East Side money but want to look like you do, KEEP READING. First of all well start with shoes. Okay, depending on where your at in NYC you may have to take the subway into Queens for these shoes BUT ITS WORTH IT! Why? Because all the shoes in this place are $5, $7 and $15. THATS RIGHT! The shoes don’t look tacky or cheap, they are super super cute!
OKAY, OKAY, I’ll tell you were I got them.

Okay, lets move onto clothes. I love new clothes more than anything, but sometimes you just cant afford to pay top dollar for an outfit. The GOODWILL right by my old apartment in CHELSEA is amazing. I promise you’ll find something Amanda Tanen-ish (Ugly Betty) here.
You’ll find items by CALVIN KLEIN, JILL STUART, MARNI, BETSEY JOHNSON, ALICE&OLIVIA and more. They also have great vintage. I’ve bought a Betsey Johnson Dress for $13 and a Marni shirt for $7. I have the coolest Armani black leather jacket from there that I purchased for $27 dollars. OMG! I know “Goodwill” may bring up some weird connotations but this Goodwill is beyond AWESOME!

BUT….. If your like my boyfriend and you must have something brand new that no one has ever worn before.
